You can either:<br />
• Fill in the application form on the pages opposite & send it by FREEPOST to Student<br />
Services. See address on the back page of the form.<br />
• Apply online at www.shipley.ac.uk – you can register your details and you track<br />
your progress.<br />
• Call Student Services on 01274 327281.<br />
• Come to an Open Day and apply on the day (for dates see page 05).<br />
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS<br />
Whatever your qualifications and school experience, we will help you make the best<br />
choice. Check out the ‘What level am I?’ guide on pages 16-17 and look at course pages<br />
to find out the entry requirements for your course. You will then have an interview and<br />
possible further assessment.<br />
YOUR INTERVIEW<br />
We want to help get you on the course that is right for you and your future career plans.<br />
You will meet with a member of the course team for your chosen subject. Interviews are<br />
friendly and supportive, giving you helpful information about courses and <strong>College</strong> life.<br />
You are welcome to bring someone along with you such as a parent/carer, friend, relative<br />
or personal advisor. If you have any particular needs with accessing <strong>College</strong> buildings or<br />
if you need additional support at your interview, please let us know. Call Student Services<br />
on 01274 327281 in advance, so that we can put everything in place for you.<br />
OFFER OF A PLACE...<br />
In nearly all cases, you will be made a conditional offer of a place at your interview.<br />
Offers are made based on you achieving the GCSE grades or vocational qualifications<br />
required for your course.<br />
Some offers may have additional entry requirements: ie an audition for a Music course<br />
or examples of artwork for an Art course. If you have any questions about our courses,<br />
entry requirements, financial assistance or need support with your application, call<br />
