Fastest snacks bagmaker offers
user and sustainability benefits
Ishida has launched a
snacks bagmaker which
the company says is the
world’s fastest vertical form,
fill and seal bagmaker while
at the same time delivering the
highest levels of productivity
performance, system
efficiency and pack quality.
Reduced environmental
impact and improved operator
working conditions are also
offered on the new machine.
Called Inspira, the new
bagmaker is available in both
intermittent and rotary motion
versions, with top production
speeds of 120 bags per minute
for the intermittent version
and in excess of 200 bags per
minute for the rotary variant.
At the same time, the
bagmaker is able to deliver an
overall equipment effectiveness
in excess of 99%.
The machine features
enhanced motor and drive
technology that improves
positional jaw control at the
point of sealing. For consistent
pack quality, Ishida’s rotary
back seal band technology,
which ensures excellent pack

Various new features on the bagmaker offer improvements for the operator
back seals, has been further
enhanced by an increased
level of automation which
reduces the risk of human
error in operation.
Other features include
automated centring and
tension adjustment of the film,
auto-splice film management
and new automated air-fill
technology which optimises
pack thickness for
downstream automated case
packing. By shortening the
path of the film from printer
to sealing jaw, the new design
also helps to further reduce
any film waste.
The new models offer a
wider choice of bag sizes
with the minimum bag width
reduced to 50mm, along with
a wider choice of film reel
weights, up to a maximum
of 50kg in operation.
A large 15.3in touchscreen
provides an intuitive HMI as
part of an enhanced intelligent
‘visual management’ strategy
designed to improve operator
productivity. This ensures
ease of set-up with various
automatic adjustment
functions, such as positioning
of the printer, former roller
adjustment, N2 gas flow
management and film roll
centring, synchronised with
the relevant product recipe
settings to eliminate any
operator errors.
The bagmaker can store
a total of 500 pre-sets for
auto-changing all relevant
settings, as well as bringing
integrated Ishida equipment
into line, which further
speeds up changeovers.
It also incorporates the latest
technologies to reduce energy
and air consumption for an
improved environmental
profile.
