TÜV SÜD
Chris Guy has
joined TÜV SÜD
Product Service
as its new UK
divisional
director, taking over
responsibility from Jean-Louis
Evans who has retired.
He joins from the consumer
technology division of UL,
a US-based testing and
certification company, where
he was regional general
manager with responsibilities
across Europe, the Middle East,
Africa and Latin America.
He started his career in several
technical positions for RFI
Global Services before moving
into more commercial roles.
OPTIMA consumer
Christoph
Held has
joined Optima
consumer
GmbH as its new
managing director, taking
over the role from Rainer
Feuchter who is withdrawing
from the operational side of
the business by the end of this
year. Feuchter will, however
continue working on different
projects in a consultancy role
going forward. Held brings
many years of experience
from well-known packaging
machinery companies to the
new senior position.
Matcon
Andre Goodson
has been
appointed as
the new global
systems director
at Matcon, responsible for
overseeing the development of
the systems team and business.
Goodson has been a member
of the IDEX Corporation team
for nearly six years, working
in the air compressor side of
the business and has enjoyed
leadership roles on both sides
of the Atlantic.
Scorpion Vision
Julian Parfitt
has joined
Scorpion Vision
as sales director.
With over 18
years of experience in the
global imaging and machine
vision industry, he will be
heading up the components
division at the company
and be responsible for sales
and marketing the full range
of imaging brands.
“Julian is well respected in
the industry and brings
extensive experience to the
role,” says Paul Wilson,
managing director of Scorpion.
WMH
George Court
has joined
WMH as design
engineer to help
strengthen the
overall design team. He joins
from a precision engineering
background where he gained
experience in 3D design
and stress analysis. He will
take a hands-on role in the
controls and automation area
of the business.
Ishida Europe
Motion Products
Brian Prescott
has joined
Motion Control
Products as
technical
product manager for
actuator and mechatronic
products. He has spent over
35 years in the automation
industry and this new role will
see him supporting the sales
team and OEMs around the UK.
Sparc Systems
Daniel Frank
has joined Sparc
Systems as
international
sales manager
tasked with moving the
company’s reach into Europe
and beyond to support
new distributors in the US
and Australia signed up at
interpack earlier this year.
Steve Elliott
has joined Sparc
Systems as
design manager.
He will head up
the design team and brings
experience from previous roles
at Ishida and Baker Perkins.
Ishida Europe is celebrating 20 years of manufacturing in the
UK. The company opened a European facility for the assembly
of its multihead weighers and checkweighers in 1997 and since
then, UK staff numbers have increased from about 40 to over
400, and production has more than quadrupled. Today the
range also includes filling/distribution systems, graders, tray
sealers, pick & place robots, seal testers and leak detectors.
