Potentials and
challenges
Despite the positive feedback,
investors has a lot to consider
about the budget and expected
performance of the projects in the
coming years.
Most new hotel properties are
concentrated in coastal destinations,
and the number of hotel apartments
is currently higher than the number
of resort hotels, which would lead
to significant competitions in price,
especially if the demand decreases.
Some investors have not been
cautious in the planning and
positioning of the projects, therefore
only focus on the development
of high rise buildings to increase
the number of rooms without
considering the need to increase
the projects' value. For long-term
development and sustainable
growth, tourism properties in
Vietnam should be planned in a
whole and coordinated manner.
In addition to the significant increase
of visitors, the revenue generated
from hotels and resorts around the
country has also improved, but not
commensurate with the growing
demand of these properties.
