I can not remember the number
of times I have been to Dalat. The
first time I went there was 2008
when I was in love for the first
time. Nine years have passed, and
every year, I always go back no less
than three times. Every trip is a
different experience. I may have
held different hands, and gone
to different places, but Dalat still
retains its unique charm. Dalat
is an ideal place for star-struck
lovers who want to spend their
days gazing away in each other's
eyes under the breezy air, or for
more adventurous lovers, there
is a myriad of lakes and waterfalls
around town to visit. Either way,
this is a haven for couples wishing
to escape from the hustle and
bustle of the city life.
Try to go out of town when you are
in Dalat. Hire a bike, and go up to
the plateau where you can enjoy
the cool wind, fresh air, and find
incredible beauty.
A nice stroll around Xuan Huong
Lake or a visit to the Dalat Market
are worth taking. But of course, I
do not want to do the same thing
again and again. I often head to
new places everytime I visit. It is
how I manage to always stay in
love with Dalat.
Ta Nung Commune
Located about 15km west of Dalat,
Ta Nung is a small commune that
brought me the most wonderful
memories. The sight was
unforgettable as we drove across
fields of tithonia in its blooming
season, along with vast fields of
buckwheat, Michaelmas daisy,
and coffee.
