Company is a producer<br />
of fine cured meats and<br />

butchery is located in<br />
the tiny West Coast<br />
settlement of Blackball<br />
and produces an<br />
extensive range of<br />
gourmet sausages,<br />
salami, cooked<br />
chorizos, cabanas and<br />
biersticks and manuka<br />
smoked bacons.<br />
<strong>The</strong> salami is made the old fashioned way, by natural curing and wood<br />
smoking. <strong>The</strong> black puddings are much in demand and made in a unique<br />
horse shoe shape as well in a chubb form. <strong>The</strong> company has won medals in<br />
the great NZ Sausage competition.<br />
Originally named the Old Stone House Salami Co, the Company was<br />
founded in 1992 by local West Coasters who set up business in the old<br />
stonehouse in Blackball (depicted in the company logo).<br />
Owners Phil and Debbie Russ bought the Company in 2009 and now<br />
lead a small team of eight professionals who are dedicated to creating,<br />
adapting and perfecting speciality meat products for New Zealander’s to<br />
savour.<br />
Blackball Salami Company products are hand crafted to perfection using<br />
only the very best prime cuts of New Zealand meats. Most products are<br />
MSG and Gluten free making them an innovative and attractive choice for<br />
