South 18 Woodham Focus South Woodham Focus OVER TO YOU..... Passing of Legends! The Alzheimer’s benefit concert 19th May Hello, just a note to say that the Village Hall concert went very well and that it produced £1500 for the Alzheimer’s Society . I am sure that they will put the money to good use. Thanks are due to the Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers, the Village Group and the generosity of the audience . Peter Taylor A Big Thank You I would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone for their flowers, cards and sympathy on the passing of my husband Alan Dunnett, including my neighbours in Abbotsleigh Road, our Bowls friends in top Woodham, The Spar/Post Office, The South Woodham Village Hall and friends. We also Thank the Reverend Carol Ball for the lovely service at St. Mary's Church and for Paul J. King for taking care of us all on the day. Regards, Peggy and Family. Nicola and Jain Activities coordinators With much sadness we announce the passing of David Barker & Calvin Granger within 5 days of each other. David had owned South Woodham Motor spares & Cycles for 31 years . On Tuesday 5th June Calvins funeral car will be stopping at 12.30 outside the shop, & David’s funeral car will be stopping at 1pm on 6th June, for anyone wishing to pay their respects to these South Woodham Legends ! Family Fun Day at Rettendon Church The organisers were very pleased with the numbers of families who turned up on a glorious Bank Holiday Monday. Most people sat outside for the attractions and went inside just to cool off for a tea or coffee. Many of the children enjoyed the face painting, the bouncy castle and the apple bobbing, which is more difficult than you think. One star of the show though for many was Porridge, a lovely Saint Bernard who can be seen in the photograph attached on her way into the church grounds.
