principles of Protestantism have been deserted, and
the principles of Republicanism are being deserted.
The principles of Rome have invested the United
States, and naught but “the abomination of
desolation” can possibly follow.
The territorial expansion of the United States
has been purchased at the cost of the contraction of
the principles of the United States. The United
States is now in the East, not as a republic of the
East, but as one of the “kings of the East.” But
these kings of the East are spoken of in the
Scriptures. Here is what is said by John the
revelator: “And the sixth angel poured out his vial
on the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof
was dried up, that the way of the kings of the East
might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits
like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and
out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth
of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of
devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the
kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather
them to the battle of that great day of God
