“A fire devoureth before <strong>the</strong>m; and behind<br />

Eden before <strong>the</strong>m, and behind <strong>the</strong>m a desolate<br />

wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

<strong>The</strong> appearance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m is as <strong>the</strong> appearance <strong>of</strong><br />

horses; and as horsemen, so shall <strong>the</strong>y run. Like <strong>the</strong><br />

noise <strong>of</strong> chariots on <strong>the</strong> tops <strong>of</strong> mountains shall<br />

<strong>the</strong>y leap, like <strong>the</strong> noise <strong>of</strong> a flame <strong>of</strong> fire that<br />

devoureth <strong>the</strong> stubble, as a strong people set in<br />

battle array. Before <strong>the</strong>ir faces <strong>the</strong> people shall be<br />

much pained: all faces shall ga<strong>the</strong>r blackness. <strong>The</strong>y<br />

shall run like mighty men, <strong>the</strong>y shall climb <strong>the</strong> wall<br />

like men <strong>of</strong> war; and <strong>the</strong>y shall march every one on<br />

his ways, and <strong>the</strong>y shall not break <strong>the</strong>ir ranks;<br />

nei<strong>the</strong>r shall one thrust ano<strong>the</strong>r; <strong>the</strong>y shall walk<br />

every one in his path: and when <strong>the</strong>y fall upon <strong>the</strong><br />

sword, <strong>the</strong>y shall not be wounded. <strong>The</strong>y shall run<br />

to and fro in <strong>the</strong> city; <strong>the</strong>y shall run upon <strong>the</strong> wall,<br />

<strong>the</strong>y shall climb up upon <strong>the</strong> houses; <strong>the</strong>y shall<br />

enter in at <strong>the</strong> windows like a thief. <strong>The</strong> earth shall<br />

quake before <strong>the</strong>m; <strong>the</strong> heavens shall tremble: <strong>the</strong><br />

sun and <strong>the</strong> moon shall be dark, <strong>the</strong> stars shall<br />

withdraw <strong>the</strong>ir shining: and <strong>the</strong> Lord shall utter his<br />
