June Mavs&Mochas: A Really Good Box of Chocolates

To paraphrase Forrest Gump,
every Mavs & Mochas is like a
box of really good chocolates.
In our case, you’ll never know
how many awesome P-cars
you’ll see.
Such was the case on June 9, 2018
at Mavs & Mochas celebrating the
40th anniversary of the 911SC. With
over 150 Porsches in attendance,
this “box of chocolates” was
incredibly good—it included a vast
array of years, models, colors, and
owners.
Bill Orr (thanks) exhibited his
charming doughnut-toting self and
super early set-up for early-bird
Mavs. So, how did it go? M & M
was better than great! Not only
were attendees delighted by lots
of beautiful Porsches, there were
throngs (yes, throngs) of Porsche
enthusiasts. Newcomers and
veterans bonded over solutions to
repair problems and frustration
over vexing recurring ones. A
beautiful sight.
There was lots of eye candy to
go around, and most of us simply
strolled around enjoying the P-car
ambience, which included a silver
Porsche reimagined by Singer!
Ogled by all, lots of us were simply
mesmerized, stuck in a good place.
This M & M served as a preparty
to the fabulous 70th
Anniversary celebration at Park
Place Porsche. It exceeded all
expectations and I thank my fellow
SC owners who showed up for our
40th Anniversary celebration. All in
all, Sportscar Together Day 2018
was legendary and a good time was
had by all.
