The Professional Aviation Board of Certification<br />

(PABC) is an independent,<br />

non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated<br />

to ensuring the preparedness of<br />

pilots to enter initial training for business<br />

and commercial flight operations through<br />

a variety of research, education and<br />

assessment activities. Stakeholders from<br />

across the industry will help create the<br />

PABC examinations used to determine the<br />

candidate pilots’ cognitive capabilities;<br />

tests that meet the rigorous ANSI / ISO<br />

standards used by other highly respected<br />

professions. PABC’s testing standards will<br />

also enable aviation educators to keep<br />

their courses up-to-date with changes in<br />

the industry. PABC certification will provide<br />

employers and pilots with independent<br />

PABC raises aviation education and<br />

pilot performance standards, enhances<br />

public safety and reduces the cost of flight<br />

D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences<br />

at the University of North Dakota and the<br />

UND Aerospace Foundation, is an international<br />

aviation education and training services<br />

flying over 110,000 hours in over 120<br />

aircraft in five states. With more than<br />

2,100 students from throughout the world,<br />

the Odegard School offers a complete<br />

range of undergraduate and graduate<br />

programs in five different academic departments,<br />

including an on-line Master’s<br />

degree in aviation. UND Aerospace also<br />

offers aviation physiology training in its<br />
