ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
A STELLAR SEASON
for the THEATER
Stage and behind-the-stage crews at the area’s two
largest performing arts venues – the Broward Center in
Fort Lauderdale and the Kravis in West Palm Beach – are
already hard at work, preparing for the arrival of spectacular
performances coming from the Great White Way to entertain
South Florida audiences during the 2018-2019 season that
begins in October at the Broward Center, November at Kravis.
While theater enthusiasts are already perusing show rosters
listing the 14 musicals – seven at each location – that will
shortly fill the concert halls with blockbuster tunes, most
everyone is wondering: What’s happening with Hamilton?
Not to worry. The story of America’s founding father Alexander
Hamilton, the immigrant from the West Indies who became
George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary
War, will unfold at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts
Dec. 18-Jan. 20, with its stellar acting troupe and a score that
blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway styles.
And yes, tickets are still available.
As for Kravis, Hamilton won’t arrive until the 2019-2020
season. But those seeking tickets should act now.
Officials say: “The best way to guarantee tickets to Hamilton is
to purchase a season subscription for the 2018-2019 season.
Subscribers who renew their subscription for the 2019-2020
season will be able to guarantee their tickets for the premiere
West Palm Beach engagement before tickets are available to
