those who surrendered to

brought to trial as

MacArthur, Supreme
Commander of the Allied
Powers, secretly granted
immunity to the physicians
of Unit 731 in exchange for
providing the United States
with their research
on biological weapons.
Unit 1644 conducted tests
to determine human
susceptibility to a variety of
harmful stimuli ranging from
infectious diseases to
poison gas. It was the
largest
germ
experimentation center in
China. Unit 1644 regularly
carried
out
human vivisectionsas well
as infecting humans
with cholera, typhus,
and bubonic plague.
