The Syrian Government ordered an
attack on the rebel-held town of
Khan Shaykhun in Northwestern
Syria in the early morning of 4 April
2017. The chemical caused at least
80 civilians deaths, and three
medical workers were injured. The
chemical caused asphyxiation and
mouth foaming. It is suspected by
Turkish authorities to be the poison
Sarin.
