ISP account
in KPPP.
7. Click OK to return to the main configuration window.
You’re now ready to connect.
8. Type your ISP username and password, and click Connect.
KPPP dials the number, connects to the ISP, and logs in with your username
and password.
When KPPP establishes a connection with the ISP, it places an icon in the
KDE panel, showing the active connection. To stop the Internet connection,
right-click the Panel icon, and select Disconnect.
Network Manager
The Network Manager application provides one-stop shopping for all of your
network configuration needs. Just about every popular Linux distribution
uses the Network Manager application these days, including Fedora and
Ubuntu.
You start the Network Manager by right-clicking the Network Manager applet
in your panel in either GNOME or KDE (it’s either a picture of two monitors
or a series of bars, depending on your network connection type). Select Edit
configuration from the context menu to see your network configuration. The
Network Connections dialog box, shown in Figure 8-6, appears.

Hooray! Your file is uploaded and ready to be published.
