What It Does<br />

Produces the Replace With dialog box, which allows you to<br />

customize the text you want to search and replace.<br />

Locates the next occurrence of the selected text in the<br />

document.<br />

Locates the previous occurrence of the selected text in the<br />

document.<br />

Produces the Goto dialog box, which allows you to enter a line<br />

number. The cursor moves to the specified line.<br />

The Find Text dialog box, shown in Figure 11-6, is a powerful tool for searching<br />

for text in the text file.<br />

The Find Text dialog box uses the word at the current cursor location as the<br />

default text value to search for. Click the Options button to customize the<br />

search, such as whether to perform a case-sensitive search, or to only look<br />

for whole words instead of finding the text within a word.<br />

The Tools menu provides several handy features for working with the text in<br />

the buffer area. Table 11-2 describes the tools available in KWrite.
