The Printout Mode setting specifies the default print quality used by the<br />

printer. Again, this setting depends on the capabilities of the particular<br />

printer, but usually there’s a range of dots-per-inch (DPI) settings and color<br />

settings for you to choose from. A lower DPI number saves toner; a higher<br />

DPI number produces a higher print quality.<br />

Job Options<br />

The Job Options area allows you to set the default properties for print jobs<br />

sent to the printer. When you request an application to send something to<br />

the printer, a standard GNOME Print dialog box appears, as shown in<br />

Figure 18-12.<br />
