2018 Mississippi Nurses’ Association Annual Convention
There is nothing more unique than nursing. As a champion of professional ethics
and safe practice, I will use my expertise to further promote the Council on
Nursing Practice. As a skilled nurse, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary
teams and used my communication skills to implement seamless processes.
As a Nurse Educator, I continue to rely on the best evidence-based practices
and design teaching strategies for the 21st-century nurse.
If I am selected as the Director of the Council on Nursing Practice, my goals
would be to:
• Promote the goals of MNA.
• Encourage partnership among nurses.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in nursing practice.
The following objectives will provide focus while meeting the outlined goals.
• Identify constituents interested in promoting safe practice for entry-level
and career nurses.
• Ensure that practice standards align with the latest trends in nursing.
• Foster exemplary practice standards through the review and development
of policies and guidelines.
I am focused on empowering nurses and promoting MNA. I believe the outlined
objectives and my experience will continue to move the organization forward.
