Rochdale Society of Model and<br />
Experimental Engineers is one<br />
of the oldest model engineering<br />
clubs and were founded in 1932.<br />
Members come from all over the North<br />
Manchester area to share their interest<br />
in modelling, from steam and electric<br />
powered locomotives, traction and<br />
stationary steam engines to clock<br />
and boat building.<br />
The Society has regular meetings on<br />
Friday evenings, for speakers and social<br />
events and since 1960 has operated a<br />
miniature raila in pringel ark<br />
Rochdale. We also operate a portable<br />
track and attend local events, as well<br />
as specials such as Halloween and<br />
Santa Specials.<br />
We are currently entering a new phase,<br />
taking over the lease of the land from<br />
Rochdale Council and becoming<br />
a Charity.<br />
