an election at which Robert Forward
was elected president , and Clare Endicott
vice-p resident. In hi~ postelection
speech Bob promised more
and bet te r chess sets, and a tournament
designed to select th e best players
in the school. Since t hen t welve

been purchase d. and a tourna ment
is underway. At the present time

The membership at the present

An innovat ion this year i:; the chess
locker which sta nds in the hall opposite
the chess room. The equipment
is kept in here ready for use at an y
time by the membe rs.
