With a water main being planned to be tunnelled beneath its course requiring a construction access compound close
to its 15 th hole, North Hants needed to create an additional hole within its layout to ensure that their members
always have 18 proper holes to play. This involved moving the existing 3 rd green back to allow the 3 rd hole to be split
into two sporty short par fours. Completed in May 2018, the grass has established strongly and will be fully playable
and ready for hosting the English Amateur in 2019.
