Policy and Planning
Committee Plans
Short term plan (within next 6 months):
a) Enforcing BOD to arrange their actions
towards the vision and mission of new approved
Mohandes statute.
b) Checking and controlling the plan of all
committees and sub-committees to be in alignment
of new statute.
c) Cooperating with all committees members
to ensure all activities are planned based on
Mohandes vision and mission by method of
KPI (Key Performance Indicator)
Long term plan (within next 12 months):
Reviewing Mohandes statute after checking
the committees activities to ensure the approved
statute is enough to reach the goals
of Mohandes or need to be reviewed and
amended.
Goals and Objectives:
1) Completion of the new executive chart
based on the constitution to facilitate execution
of Kanoon’s objectives
2) Hiring an IT professional for updating Kanoon’s
website
3) Investigation of buying a permanent office
for Kanoon
4) Updating Kanoon’s tax status and preparing
and submitting the supporting documents
for the HST return
5) Investigation of possibility of changing Kanoon
status from Non-profit to Charity
6) Planning for fundraising and receiving
government grants for execution of Mohandes
objectives
7) Planning to increase the membership quantitatively
and qualitatively
8) Optimum collaboration between BOD and
BOT and proposing eligible candidates
9) Planning for an effective management and
development of the SIGs and their progress
10) Planning for close collaborating between
Mohandes and other parallel Iranian Engineering
Societies and bringing them under
Kanoon’s umbrella
11) Establishing and expanding close relationship
with other Iranian groups and societies
12) Establishing relationship with other Iranian
engineering groups in Canada, US and
Europe
13) Identifying and employing volunteers and
staffs to collaborate with Kanoon for achievement
of its goals
Professional and Scientific Committee
Goals and Objectives
1- To contribute to outreach committee to contact with professional and scientific organizations
2- To interact with universities to establish connection with professors and researches
3- To arrange job search and mentoring workshops for newcomers
4- To arrange scientific and professional lectures and workshops
Objectives and Actions:
5- Provide a list of PhD Mohandes members in different discipline which are potentially
eager to help the committee (Volunteers or interact with scientific organizations such as
universities)
6- Provide a list of Mohandes PEng members in different discipline who would like to help
the committee (as volunteers or interact with engineering firms)
7- Hold professional and scientific lectures
8- Hold job search and mentoring workshops
