Committee<br />
<strong>Mohandes</strong> weekly sports<br />
activities are sources<br />
of fun, friendship and social<br />
networking especially for newcomers<br />
who wish to connect to<br />
<strong>Mohandes</strong> other members in<br />
a more friendly environment.<br />
In <strong>2018</strong>, apart from volleyball<br />
and football weekly games, a<br />
few new groups were added<br />
to <strong>Mohandes</strong> Sports-Recreational<br />
committee; <strong>Mohandes</strong><br />
Ping-Pong Group, <strong>Mohandes</strong><br />
Outdoor Club, <strong>Mohandes</strong><br />
Cycling Group and <strong>Mohandes</strong><br />
Basketball Group. Except of<br />
the Basketball group, which is<br />
to be activated, other groups<br />
all have had their progressive<br />
activities.<br />
<strong>Mohandes</strong> outdoor club organized<br />
a number of hiking events<br />
in different trails of Toronto<br />
and a family visit to Royal<br />
Botanical garden on Aug 12th.<br />
During summer <strong>2018</strong>, both<br />
volleyball and football<br />
games were held<br />
outdoors. Sun-bathing<br />
was a part of weekly<br />
beach volleyball for the<br />
entire summer.<br />
Volleyball tournaments<br />
are the most<br />
exciting part of <strong>Mohandes</strong><br />
volleyball<br />
games. In <strong>2018</strong> three<br />
tournaments were held<br />
in March, June and<br />
November and collectively<br />
around 150 people competed<br />
in a fair play games. Normally<br />
in these tournaments, the first,<br />
second and the last ranked<br />
teams are awarded. In the 6th<br />
tournament which was held on<br />
Nov 10th, Tak-Taz (champion<br />
of the 2nd tournament in 2017)<br />
and 7 Shades of Green got to<br />
the final match and 7 Shades of<br />
Green won the title.<br />
