College, Odessa College
and the University of
Texas of the Permian

classroom instruction to
these schools each
semester in order to further
promote the technology.

LIFT
SYSTEMS,

Plunger Lift Systems, Inc. (PLSI) was founded
in Midland in 1989 to manufacture, sell and service
artificial lift equipment for the oil and gas
industry, and was almost immediately successful,
due to the efficiency and economy of the technology
of plunger lift. With increases in oil and gas
prices, demands for PLSI’s superior technology
have steadily grown, and with the advent of CO2
recovery in old fields, the company saw new areas
of opportunity.
In 1996, the company went international
when it shipped its first ten systems to Russia’s
Siberian oilfields. Investigations are currently
underway in other overseas markets. In the
Permian Basin, PLSI has offices in Midland,
Denver City, Sonora and Hobbs, as well as a network
of authorized distributors.
For better quality control, PLSI has introduced
its own state of the art electronic wellhead controller
and acquired its own motor valve line as
