Other factors contributing to the company’s
success are customer loyalty and a commitment to
supporting local organizations. Many customers
have been using The Bosworth Company from its
beginning, with several second and third generation
family members now utilizing the services
provided. The Bosworth Company has developed
a reputation for support of local events.
“We’re very proud of Midland and the success
it has provided us,” says Corky. “Next to
caring for our employees, the most important
thing we do is to give back to the community.”
Since 1959, the company has been an independent
Lennox dealer. Lennox manufactures
top of the line heating and cooling equipment
and has a network of 5000 dealers in the United
States. Lennox has bestowed its annual “Circle of
Excellence” award to The Bosworth Company
every year since 1982, the beginning of this
award. This award is presented to the top 20
dealers in each of four national sales regions. In
1990, Corky and The Bosworth Company was
awarded the “Dave Lennox Award” which is
reserved for the top 16 dealers in North America.
In 1996, Corky was appointed by Governor
George Bush to the State Air Conditioning and
Refrigeration Advisory Board. This board provides
recommendations to the State Legislature
on laws governing this industry.
But Corky is not content to rest in the company’s
past laurels. He states, “The continued
success of our business rests in the oncoming
generation.” He has surrounded himself with a
varied age group of management people. Active
in growing the customer base are son Randy,
Ron Ainsworth and David Barton.
“These guys can’t go anywhere without running
into customers,” he said. “I think our
future is in good hands.”
