Licensed for 918 beds, Saint Francis
Hospital is widely known for its advanced
technology and its excellent physicians. For
several consecutive years, the hospital has
been the recipient of National Research
Corporation’s Consumer Choice Award. Saint
Francis has been named a Top 100 hospital by
Solucient and listed among “America’s Best
Hospitals” by U.S. News and World Report.
Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital
offers mental-health service to individuals and
families and has an internationally recognized
eating disorder program. Saint Ann’s at
Laureate Senior Diagnostic Center provides
assessment and treatment of older adults
needing mental heathcare.
The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis
provides medical care to children in a childfriendly
environment and includes 126 beds
and a staff of 95 pediatricians and 45 pediatric
sub-specialists. The hospital’s pediatric
hematology-oncology clinic, the only such
facility in eastern Oklahoma, treats more than
seven hundred children each year. In 2004, it
became a member of The Children’s Miracle
Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated
to helping children by raising funds for
children’s hospitals nationwide.
Early in 2005, Saint Francis Health
System announced plans to construct a new
155,000-square-foot Children’s Hospital, to
be located on the northeast side of
the hospital campus at Sixty-first and Yale.
The project includes additional space
for medical/surgical inpatient stays and a
pediatric intensive care services. Child and
family-friendly rooms will be coupled with
parent education opportunities and a Child
Life staff will help children become more at
ease during their hospital stay.
Patients of the Natalie Warren Bryant
Cancer Center have access to comprehensive
cancer services, including a pediatric
oncology/hematology clinic, blood and
marrow transplantation program, specialized
services provided by the inpatient adult
medical oncology unit, and the most advanced
radiation treatments, such as Intensity
Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). The
Saint Francis Breast Center was relocated to the
new Natalie Medical Building in early 2005,
where diagnostic services were expanded to
include breast MRI, genetic testing, bone
densitometry and further support and
assistance to breast cancer patients.
The Natalie Medical Building also houses the
Saint Francis Surgery Center, which provides
the most advanced minimally invasive surgical
procedures available. It includes eight operating
rooms equipped with voice activation, image
management solutions and state-of-the-art
surgical equipment. A post anesthesia recovery
unit, eighteen rooms for outpatient admitting
and discharge, six pain management assessment
rooms and two pain management procedural
suites with cutting-edge fluoroscopy equipment
are also included at the Surgery Center.
