and remain involved in Adult (Trefoil) Guiding.
At present nobody has been appointed to
replace me. Volunteers are always needed in
Guiding especially in Tylers Green. We have 6
active Units all run by enthusiastic volunteers
who give up their time to prepare, train and run
the evenings. They always need more support
to enable them to provide a varied programme.
We have a thriving Rainbow Unit which is
always full and sadly girls waiting to join do not
always get offered a place, clearly it would be
great if we could open another unit in the area.

Units are now busy preparing for the new
term using the new programme and most Units
are full though there are spaces in a Brownie
Unit. Brownies is for girls aged 7-10 years and

Kingswood Adult Guiding is thriving with 30
members, not all active in Guiding, meeting on
a monthly basis. The next meeting is a 3 course
meal cooked by members of Trefoil.

Village Care
Village Care wishes all our clients, volunteers
and gardeners a good New Year.
We are in desperate need of two more
telephonists to run the Village Care telephone
for one morning a month. If you could help us,
without obligation, please contact Gillian on
815693. If anyone would like to drive for
Village Care once a month, please contact Rob
on 817893.
We shall hold our increasingly popular Tea
Party for clients and volunteers on Friday 17th
May, at 2.45 pm in the TG Village Hall. We are
very keen for more of our clients to come and
join us; there is no charge and transport can be
arranged. You will receive an invitation, so
please come – everyone enjoyed it last year.

Our Penn & Tylers Green Open Gardens
event will be on Sunday afternoon, 9th June,
with tickets on sale at the Village Hall, so please
make a note of the date, and enjoy our usual
good weather.
Please consider volunteering for Village Care
– it is a worthwhile charity, and we cannot do

P&TG Scout Group
Christmas Post: We had another good Scout
Post in the run up to Christmas delivering cards
around the villages. After many years we have
managed to fine tune procedures but there is
still a lot of organising and work that goes on
behind the scenes. We have a large number of
volunteer helpers who make it all work. Thanks
again to you all. Our post boxes were looked
after by the following local businesses: The
Village Hall, Kings Ride Supermarket, Filippos
Hairdressers, Lansdales Pharmacy, Joe
Gleeson's Butcher, Londis Supermarket and JJ’s
Delicatessen. Thank you all for continuing to
support the group. We would also like to pass
on a big thank you Stephen, Morna, Emily and
all at The JNP Partnership for sponsoring Scout
Post- we really appreciate your support &
generosity.
In May this year we are giving the boys & girls
of the group the chance to participate in a
special Bucks County Camp in North Bucks.
The Scout Post proceeds will help to finance
this event.
Scout Jumble: Save the Date: Our next
Jumble Sale is on Saturday 6th April at the
Village Hall. Doors open at 1.00 pm (open
Friday evening for receiving jumble 6.00-
9.00pm). If anyone can help at any time over
the weekend they will be warmly welcomed.

We hope to see our jumble regulars and new
faces on the day. Please come along and bag a
