Britney Swann received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Berra College in 2008. She is currently a Staff<br />
Nurse in the Emergency Department at St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, AL. Her goal is to be more involved in<br />
her unit and also working towards being a flight nurse.<br />

Katilya Ware currently serves as the District 5 Secretary for the <strong>Alabama</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> <strong>Association</strong>. She is an<br />
Assistant Professor at Auburn University School of Nursing and works on a per diem basis in the emergency<br />
department at a local hospital. She graduated from the University of <strong>Alabama</strong> in 2016 with a Doctor of Philosophy<br />
in Instructional Leadership. Ware also holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Jacksonville<br />
<strong>State</strong> University. She has participated in several presentations both podium and poster on the state and national<br />
level. Her current research focus is related to medication noncompliance in patients with hypertension.<br />
