How do you stay Active in Uckfield?
Although we are only a small town Uckfield has so many things to offer in so
many areas. This month it’s all about being active, sporty even.
Whatever your level or ability, when
it comes to getting active we are so
incredibly lucky in we have everything
from ‘I haven’t done any kind of sports
since I was at school’ to “I’m ready to
run a marathon or play in the FA Cup
opportunities available”.
Whether you’re looking to start a hobby
or journey, getting back into a sport or
you’ve moved to the area and want to
pick up where you left there really is
something for everyone.
Gentle walks, rambles and, in May,
‘Couch to 5k’ classes will be again
coming to Uckfield, while for the
more experienced, Uckfield Runners
are entering 5k, 10k, half and full
marathons all over the country as well
as doing their weekly club runs.
There’s walking football at Uckfield
Leisure Centre, right up to Uckfield AFC
who have recently played in the FA Cup
Vase.
There’s soft gentle classes to full on boot
camps; Hire the local tennis courts to
play with friends right up to one - one
tennis coaching. We’ve got several bowls
clubs - inside and out.
