ON YER BIKE! AT ROCKS PARK<br />
Pupils from Year 5 at Rocks Park School<br />
<strong>Uckfield</strong> took on the Wind, Rain and<br />
Sunshine during their cycle training with<br />
East Sussex County Council Bikeability<br />
instructors. Bikeability is based on the<br />
government approved National Standards<br />
for Cycle Training, which teaches trainees the<br />
necessary skills to ride confidently on today's<br />
roads.<br />
RAVE ON – A TRIBUTE TO BUDDY<br />
HOLLY<br />
<strong>2019</strong> is the 60th year since losing Buddy<br />
Holly on 3 February 1959. Recently a packed<br />
Weald Hall (over 220) in the Civic Centre<br />
<strong>Uckfield</strong> were treated to a fabulous show<br />
starring Marc Robinson as Buddy Holly (from<br />
London’s West End) and the Counterfeit<br />
Crickets. He was joined by Darren Page as Roy<br />
Orbison and Mike Nova as Elvis.<br />

FLIPPING MARVELLOUS FUN<br />
Children at St Philip's Catholic Primary<br />
School <strong>Uckfield</strong> marked Shrove Tuesday with<br />
pancake races on the playground.<br />

RUGBY CLUB ENTERTAIN AT PANTO<br />
<strong>Uckfield</strong> Rugby Football Club were proud<br />
to present their first pantomime for many a<br />
long year. Robin Hood and his Merry Men was<br />
billed as ‘a magical Pantomime and it did not<br />
disappoint it even moved from Sherwood<br />
to Ashdown Forest’, starring several local<br />
celebrities and even a giant squirrel!<br />
The Pantomime had much to offer and the<br />
cast and crew had had great fun along the<br />
way. Both performances were very well<br />
attended (over 120 in the afternoon and over<br />
250 for the evening), who saw the show of any<br />
age will have had a memorable experience.<br />
RED NOSES ALL ROUND<br />
Children got into the Red Nose Day spirit all<br />
across <strong>Uckfield</strong> - many donning something<br />
red or something silly to raise money for good<br />
causes. Here are a motley crew from Rocks<br />
Park in all their red splendour....<br />
