In other Finance Department News,<br />
1. The bound convention proceedings<br />
books for the 2009 and 2013 International<br />
Conventions have now been<br />
completed and mailed to each local<br />
union. It was anticipated that, as in<br />
the past, the books would contain<br />
the proceedings of three conventions,<br />
including the most recent, but the<br />
number of pages did not allow for<br />
this to be done. After the 2021 convention,<br />
another bound book will be<br />
made for the 2017 and 2021 convention<br />
proceedings.<br />
2. Royalty payments continue to be received<br />
from both the AFL-CIO credit<br />
card program and various other<br />
Union Privilege programs. For the<br />
year ended April 30, <strong>2019</strong> royalty<br />
payments in the amount of $188,337<br />
were received.<br />
3. The International continues to charge<br />
for consultation responses for INS<br />
Visas. The present charge is $250 for<br />
regular service and $450 for a “rush”<br />
request, which must be processed<br />
within forty-eight hours. For the year<br />
ended April 30, <strong>2019</strong>, the International<br />
received $1,239,355 in consultation<br />
fees.<br />
President Loeb thanked General Secretary-Treasurer<br />
Wood for his report and<br />
his work. With 146,000 members, it is<br />
quite important that the International be<br />
able to work with the Locals in a streamlined<br />
way, and the work of the General<br />
Secretary-Treasurer is vital to that effort.<br />
A motion to adopt the Report of the<br />
General Secretary-Treasurer was moved,<br />
seconded, and passed by unanimous vote<br />
of the General Executive Board.<br />
REPORT OF THE BOARD<br />
OF TRUSTEES<br />
International Trustees Carlos Cota,<br />
Andrew C. Oyaas and Patricia A. White<br />
presented to the General Executive Board<br />
the Report of the Board of Trustees for<br />
the period of October 1, 2018 through<br />
April 30, <strong>2019</strong>. Trustee Cota reported that<br />
the Trustees met in the General Office in<br />
New York City from June 4 through 6,<br />
<strong>2019</strong> and reviewed the books, records, financial<br />
accounts of the International and<br />
found them to be in order.<br />
Upon motion duly made and seconded,<br />
the General Executive Board adopted<br />
the Trustee Report.<br />
President Loeb thanked the Trustees<br />
for their work.<br />

Alexandre Boulerice welcomed the General<br />
Executive Board and meeting attendees<br />
to Montreal, Quebec. In doing<br />
so, Leader Boulerice noted that the representation<br />
that the <strong>IATSE</strong> provides to<br />
its members continues to be vital to the<br />
continued success of the entertainment<br />
industry and the Quebec working class<br />
generally. He went on to provide a brief<br />
overview of the current federal political<br />
climate, noting that it will be essential for<br />
the labour movement to be active in the<br />
upcoming federal elections in the fall of<br />
<strong>2019</strong> to ensure that those elected to office<br />
are allies to organized labour. Leader<br />
Boulerice concluded his remarks by encouraging<br />
attendees to enjoy all of the<br />
beauty, culture and cuisine that Montreal<br />
has to offer and wished the General Executive<br />
Board a productive and successful<br />
week of meetings.<br />
