‣ Making connections with other disciplines and acquiring information and diverse
perspectives in order to use the language to function in academic and career related
situations.
‣ Making theological connections through study of world languages.
In Spanish:
‣ Reinforcing other content areas through the use of Spanish.
‣ Acquiring information and recognize the distinctive viewpoints available only through
Spanish and Hispanic culture.
‣ Developing insight into the nature of language and culture through comparisons
between the student’s own language and the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
‣ Use Spanish both within and beyond the school setting.
‣ Show evidence of becoming lifelong learners by using Spanish for personal enjoyment
and enrichment.
