Facilities Assistant
RHS Garden Hyde Hall
Permanent, Full Time - 37.5 hours per week,
5 in 7 days per week.
£17,360 per annum
Are you practically minded? Do you have a high attention to
detail? Would you enjoy keeping Hyde Hall smart, clean and
well maintained, providing helpful assistance to members of the
public and staff among beautiful surroundings?
The Facilities Assistant will assist with the supervision of
building maintenance, safety and security, plus help set up
practical arrangements for events and functions. General duties
will also include – cleaning visitor facilities and litter collection
and with training, you’ll also provide first aid for visitors.
You will have building maintenance skills to a DIY level, and be
able to provide a high quality finish to your work. You will work
well using your own initiative. Basic literacy and numeracy skills
are essential, as is a full manual driving licence. The ability to
work well within a team is essential. Effective communication
and the ability to deal sensitively with visitors and difficult
situations is a must. Some experience in dealing with the
general public is desirable.
