KIND OF BLUE AT THE BELL

The next performance of "Kind of Blue " will be in the hall of the

Bell, Woodham Ferrers, on Monday 28th October, 8.30-11 pm.

If you like the songs from "the Great American Songbook" and

other jazz "classics" played by a small group (quintet), then come

to your local pub and enjoy a "jazz club" atmosphere.

The move to the hall has been a real success, and we would like to

thank those of you who braved the rain and darkness to come to

our last September gig.

TRINITY ST MARY’S C OF E PRIMARY

SCHOOL HELD HARVEST FESTIVAL

Change of day

Following on from that, we have listened to some of our audience

who find it difficult to come out on dark wintry nights.

In 2020, at least while the clocks are on Greenwich meantime,

(January, February and March) we may move our gigs from Monday

to the last Sunday afternoon in the month, finishing before sunset.

Christmas arrangements

One "special" afternoon to put in your diary is Sunday, December

15th, when we will be organising our yearly Christmas mixture of

jazz and "singalong".

Entry by ticket, proceeds to breast cancer and Crohn's disease.

Details to follow.

But until then, please come to the Bell on the 28th.

You'll find a friendly welcome from the band and management.

Sandwiches and entry are free.

CROUCH VALE HEALTH CENTRE

The move to the new Crouch Vale Heath Centre is scheduled to

take place soon with a provisional opening date of Monday

November 4th but there have been so many delays don't be

surprised is there's another one.

Trinity St Mary’s C of E Primary School’s community came together

at their recent Harvest Festival service held in Holy Trinity Church.

The service was led by their Collective Worship Group. The

children spoke of the meaning of harvest and of how lucky they

are to have food, shelter and the community who cares for them.

The children also spoke about how important it is to think about

those who are not as fortunate as them and what they could do to

help. Rev Carol joined them for the service and gave the food and

congregation her blessing.

The children chose to support the Chelmsford/South Woodham

Ferrers Food Bank. Thank you to parents, carers and grandparents

for their generous donations.
