A property-wide renovation has been put in place as part of the W
Scottsdale Hotel’s 10th anniversary. The latest and greatest addition is
the hotel’s new Away Spa, located on the first floor of the property. Set
to shake up self-care, Away Spa is ditching the traditions, starting with
a reception desk that doubles as a cocktail bar, serving specialty drinks
made with local ingredients and a food menu to savor pre-treatment.
Guests can choose from a variety of treatments for the face and
body, ranging from traditional deep tissue massages and body peels to
makeup and hair services. Highlights include a Detox Menu to remedy
late nights, a Quickie Menu for guests on the go, and a Secret Menu
accessed via private code delivered via word-of-mouth to VIPs. With the
new Spa After Dark concept, guests and locals alike can rent the spa
after hours for private parties featuring glow-in-the-dark treatments,
spa-driven cocktails, light bites, and DJ fueled tunes.

Rock and Run
Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon will return this month from
Jan. 17 to 19, taking over Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tempe.
The fitness series will feature a marathon, a half marathon, a
10K, a 5K and a kid-friendly course. During the music-themed
event, participants will find live bands stationed throughout
every other mile of the course. There will also be a two-day
health and wellness expo, open to the public, prior to the
