Ružindol

SK

Obec Ružindol leží na území Trnavskej

pahorkatiny v západnej časti Podunajskej

nížiny asi 10 kilometrov od mesta Trnava. Práve

vďaka polohe vzniklo poetické pomenovanie

Rosenthal — Vallis Rossarum — Dolina Ruží.

Dodnes Ružindolčania s láskou pestujú vo svojich

záhradách práve ruže. V Ružindole má však

svoje miesto aj tradičná vinohradnícka kultúra,

a preto obec predstavuje jednu z obľúbených

zastávok v rámci Malokarpatskej vínnej cesty.

S históriou mesta je spojená aj mágia. Už Matej

Bel o manželkách Ružindolčanov napísal, že

sa “venujú čarám“. Napriek tomu, že často išlo

o ľudové liečiteľky a nie strigy jediace deti,

ľudia vďaka nevedomosti tieto ženy kruto

trestali. Známy je prípad Kataríny Šnajderovej

z Ružindola, ktorú v roku 1684 Trnavský magistrát

odsúdil a upálil za branie úžitku od kráv,

polí, záhrad a vinohradov. Podobný osud čakal

v roku 1744 aj Magdalénu, zvanú Abdonička

a Annu Chlebovú, zvanú Jamborka.

Tieto historické príbehy obec humornou formou

priblíži každému, kto sa v októbri zúčastní

podujatia Ružindolská bosorka. Deti si užijú

bohatý program na námestí, zatiaľ čo si rodičia

vychutnajú gurmánske a vinárske špeciality.

You can learn more about these historical

stories presented in a humurous way at the

event Ružindol Witch in October. It is a great

opportunity to have a fun for children and also

for parents.

EN

Ružindol is situated in the Trnava Highlands in

the western part of the Danube Lowland about

ten kilometers from the town of Trnava. It was

due to its location that the poetic name Rosenthal

— Vallis Rossarum — The Valley of Roses

was created. To this day, people of Ružindol

are growing roses in their gardens. However,

Ružindol is also known as a place of traditional

wine culture, and therefore the village is one of

the popular stops within the Little Carpathian

Wine Tour. The history of the village is connected

with magic. Matej Bel wrote that the wives of

the Ružindol’s men were engaged in witchcraft.

Despite the fact that it was often a case of natural

healers rather than children-eating witches,

people chastised them cruelly. There is a wellknown

case of Katarína Šnajderová. In 1684,

she was condemned by the Court of Trnava

for witchy things. Two other accused women in

1744 were Magdaléna, called Abdonička, and

Anna Chlebová, called Jamborka.
