The Molpír Museum in Smolenice

Múzeum Molpír sa nachádza
v budove starej fary. Časť
expozície tvoria exponáty
z hradiska Molpír, no v múzeu
má svoju miestnosť vyhradenú
aj regionálny historik a učiteľ
Štefan Jastrabík. Zaujímavá je
expozícia starých kníh zo
17. až 19. storočia z farskej
knižnice. V múzeu nájdete
zdokumentovanú aj históriu
obce, etnografiu Smoleníc
a okolia, ako aj informácie
o tamojšej flóre a faune spolu
s minerálmi.
Ďalšia z miestností patrí vynálezcovi
padáka Štefanovi Baničovi, významnej
osobnosti Slovenska, o ktorom
sa zároveň hovorí, že objavil
aj neďalekú jaskyňu Driny —
jedinú sprístupnenú jaskyňu
na západnom Slovensku.
