March 24, 2005 Charlotte captures the season series against Southeast Division rival Orlando with a 108-94 road win, backed by Emeka<br />

Okafor’s 23 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. The Bobcats win three of the four meetings with the Magic.<br />

April 13, 2005 The Bobcats post their largest margin of victory of the season in a 105-84 win over Atlanta at the Charlotte Coliseum.<br />

The win also gives Charlotte a 3-1 series win over the Hawks for the season.<br />

April 20, 2005 Charlotte closes out its inaugural season with a 97-86 win over defending champion Detroit at the Charlotte Coliseum,<br />

giving the Bobcats a 2-1 series win over the Pistons. Emeka Okafor grabs a season-best 19 rebounds and Brevin Knight<br />

dishes out 13 assists. The team finishes with an 18-64 record.<br />

May 4, 2005 Emeka Okafor is named the 2004-05 got milk? Rookie of the Year by the <strong>NBA</strong>, garnering 77 of the <strong>12</strong>6 first-place<br />

votes. He is the third player from an expansion franchise to win the top rookie honor.<br />

May 24, 2005 At the <strong>NBA</strong> Draft Lottery, the ping-pong balls place the Bobcats fifth in the order for the June 28 <strong>NBA</strong> Draft. Charlotte also<br />

owns the 13th overall pick, which belonged to Cleveland, by virtue of a trade with Phoenix in the Expansion Selection.<br />

June 23, 2005 The Bobcats partner with Charlotte food consultant John Sergi and industry leading-Levy Restaurants, Compass Group,<br />

the Americas Division’s sports and entertainment strategic partner, to develop a diverse and customer-focused food and<br />

beverage program for the Charlotte Bobcats Arena.<br />

June 27, 2005 The Bobcats extend qualifying offers to Gerald Wallace, Jason Kapono, Keith Bogans and Matt Carroll and exercise the<br />

fourth-year option on Emeka Okafor’s contract, keeping the 2005 <strong>NBA</strong> got milk? Rookie of the Year in Charlotte through at<br />

July 7, 2005 After teaming up to lead North Carolina to the 2005 NCAA Championship, Raymond Felton and Sean May sign with the<br />

Bobcats.<br />

July 15-22, 2005 The Bobcats take part in the 2005 Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City, Utah. Matt Carroll, Raymond Felton<br />

and Sean May are all named to the All-Tournament Team. May is named the Most Valuable Player after averaging 16.5<br />

points and 9.2 rebounds. The Bobcats post a 4-2 record at the Revue.<br />

August 2, 2005 The Bobcats acquire forward/center Jake Voskuhl from Phoenix in exchange for a conditional 2007 second round draft<br />

pick.<br />

August 2, 2005 The Bobcats acquire a future second round pick from Sacramento in exchange for Jason Hart.<br />

August 8, 2005 The Bobcats’ 2005-06 season schedule is announced, with the team beginning its second <strong>NBA</strong> season on Wednesday,<br />

November 2, at Chicago and playing its first game in Charlotte Bobcats Arena on Saturday,<br />

the honor for games played November 21-November 27. Wallace averages 22.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists<br />

while shooting .587 from the field in the Bobcats’ three games that week.<br />

February 9, 2006 The Bobcats acquire forward Lonny Baxter from Houston for guard Keith Bogans.<br />

March 1, 2006 Raymond Felton is named <strong>NBA</strong> Eastern Conference T-Mobile Rookie of the Month for games played in February.<br />

March 14, 2006 The Bobcats announce that Emeka Okafor will be held out for the remainder of the 2005-06 season due to a right ankle<br />

injury originally suffered on December 19 against Sacramento and then re-injured on January 10 against Houston.<br />

March 28, 2006 Gerald Wallace posts a new career-high and franchise-record 41 points -- on 17-22 shooting -- in a <strong>12</strong>5-117 win over<br />

Atlanta. Wallace’s 18 points scored in the fourth quarter ties a Bobcats franchise record for points in a quarter, and<br />

his 27 points in the second half are the most in club history.<br />

March 28, 2006 The Bobcats score a franchise-record <strong>12</strong>5 points in a <strong>12</strong>5-117 win over Atlanta. The <strong>12</strong>5 points eclipses the mark of <strong>12</strong>2<br />

set on November 16 against Indiana.<br />
