in free-throw percentage (.751) and 11th in scoring… Scored in double<br />

figures 32 times, including a season-high 20 points on Jan. 3 against<br />

Detroit… Recorded two double-doubles, with 16 points and 10 rebounds<br />

on Jan. 31 against Phoenix and <strong>12</strong> points and 11 rebounds on March 28<br />

against Boston.<br />

Played one season at Duke, averaging 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5<br />

assists in 39 games en route to reaching the NCAA Championship Game...<br />

Named to the ACC All-Rookie Team and All-ACC Tournament Second<br />

Team... Averaged 14.3 points per game during the ACC Tournament,<br />

including a season-high 24 points vs. N.C. State.<br />

PERSONAL<br />

Full name is Corey Antoine Maggette... The son of Jimmie and Marguerite<br />

Maggette… In 2006, established the Corey Cares Foundation, a non-profit<br />

organization that aims to serve, mentor and inspire by giving back to<br />

those less fortunate... Has run the annual Flight 50 Basketball Camp<br />

in his native Chicagoland area for the last 10 years... In the summer of<br />

2008, made a $50,000 donation to his high school alma mater, Fenwick<br />

High School in Oak Park, IL… At Fenwick, earned 1998 Gatorade National<br />

Player of the Year and McDonald’s All-American honors after averaging<br />

25.0 points, <strong>12</strong>.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists for team that went 27-4…<br />

Also named a Parade All-American three times and had his No. 50<br />

uniform retired by the school.
