B.J. Evans begins his eighth season with the Charlotte Bobcats and his 18th year<br />

overall in professional and collegiate sports. Evans, who initially joined the<br />

Bobcats as Public Relations Manager in March 2004, oversees the organization’s<br />

basketball and business publicity efforts and is the primary liaison between the<br />

team and the local, national and international media. He is also responsible for<br />

day-to-day media operations and coordinates press conferences and interviews for<br />

the team’s players, coaches and front office staff.<br />

Evans was named Director of <strong>Media</strong> Services in May 2006 and took over the department, which was later<br />

changed to Basketball Communications, in December of that year.<br />

Prior to joining the Bobcats, Evans spent two seasons as Assistant Director of Sports <strong>Media</strong> Relations with<br />

the Miami Heat and was the <strong>Media</strong> Relations Manager for the former <strong>NBA</strong> D-League affiliate Asheville<br />

Altitude during the league’s inaugural season, managing all of the team’s media relations functions.<br />

Evans served as Assistant Commissioner for <strong>Media</strong> Relations at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference<br />

(MEAC) for three seasons and served as an NCAA Committee Representative for the NCAA Women’s<br />

Basketball Tournament from 1999-2001. Additionally, his experience includes stints as Sports<br />

Information Director and Game Operations Manager at North Carolina A&T State University and at the<br />

University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. During the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, he served<br />

as Tribune Manager at the inaugural beach volleyball venue.<br />

Evans and his wife, kyle, have one daughter, Bailey, born in September <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

Josh Rosen is in his fifth season with the Bobcats as Basketball Communications<br />

Manager after joining the organization in August 2007. Rosen assists with the<br />

team’s day-to-day media relations efforts, including overseeing game-night media<br />

operations and credentialing, writing press releases and game notes, and fulfilling<br />

interview and statistical requests. Rosen also serves as editor of the Bobcats<br />

media guide and <strong>com</strong>piled the team’s first-ever playoff media guide in 2009-10.<br />

Prior to joining the Bobcats, Rosen spent more than four years at Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Daily,<br />

including two and a half years as Assistant Managing Editor. His previous experience also includes one<br />

season as <strong>Media</strong> Relations Coordinator for the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League and two<br />

seasons as Public Relations Assistant for the Charlotte Sting of the W<strong>NBA</strong>.<br />

A native of Charlotte, Rosen is a 2002 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he majored in<br />

sport and entertainment management and spent three seasons as a student manager for Coach Eddie<br />

Fogler’s men’s basketball team.<br />
