Some things thatshould be avoided when trying tohelp someone with depressionwould be saying things like it’sall in your head, just snap out ofit, or there isn’t anything you cando for them. All of these are verydiscouraging and can lead to evenmore depression. These kinds ofstatements can really affect them ina negative way. It is easier to helpsomeone suffering with depressionthen most people think. Alwayssuggest them to go see a physicianbecause a physician can really helpadding a ear for them to talk too.Depression is a more serious issuethen most people imagine it is.In conclusion depression is not justsomeone having a bad day, morepeople then you may know sufferwith depression. Many people onthe outside may seem okay, but onthe inside feel differently. Surelythose with depression wish to getbetter, but still roughly 35% ofpeople suffering with depressiondon’t receive any sort of helpfrom professionals or throughmedication, which many peoplereport that medication actuallymakes them feel worse. Employers,school associates or teachers, orjust people in general can helpthose with depression, sometimesall they need is just an ear to listen.Therefore if you see someone you thinkis struggling, let them know there arealways people willing to listen.28

The first tissuebox is sitting untouched to represent denial. Thesecond box is bashed in and surrounded bycrumpled tissues to represent anger. The third stageis bargaining, where a lot of hypothetical questionsstart to form, which is represented by the distancebetween the box and the tissue. The fourth boxrepresents depression by having the tissue fallout of the box itself. The final stage of grief isacceptance, which is represented by the normalview of the tissue box.”29
