“This essay, my social life literacy narrative, was the second major essay of the course and where
I articulated proper MLA formatting with my personal style and writer’s voice. The recounting
of my time spent in China gave great inspiration to my muse. I knew exactly what sort of essay
I would be concocting the moment a non‐traditional option was announced for a literacy narrative.
Although this essay pinpoints pivotal moments, it certainly was not all of them. What I did manage to
create, however, was a dynamic piece that illustrates a monumental change in my perception of life
and self. This text was also aimed at people a bit like myself, who may be introverts or feel that their
life is very ordinary, and give an answer to the question “what if?”
