Traineeships
The alternative route to employment
If you are 16-24, keen, but not quite ready or qualified for an apprenticeship or a job,
you could start a Traineeship.
• They last from 6 weeks to 6 months and are tailored to your needs.
• They include a short skills course where you learn CV writing, interview skills and working as
part of a team.
• Improve your English and maths – subjects you need.
• Also includes a work placement to give you vital experience for your CV.
Traineeships are offered in areas including:
• Business Administration
• Childcare
• Customer Service
• Horticulture/Gardening
If you’re interested in other job roles we can help match the training to your needs, to help you
towards an apprenticeship or employment.
You can apply for a Traineeship if you:
• Are not currently in a job and have little or no work experience.
• Are 16–24*
• Want to move on to employment, an apprenticeship or further study.
*Or are aged 19-25 and subject to a Learning Difficulty Assessment (LDA) or an Education, Health and
Care Plan (EHCP) issued by your home local authority.
