Assistant Accountant<br />
Level 3 Apprenticeship<br />
Course length: 18 year | Code: 3383<br />
Entry requirements<br />
• An apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area.<br />
• These will be set by the employer, but typically<br />
include 2 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, including<br />
English and maths.<br />
• You will have an interview.<br />
• You must pass an initial assessment in English<br />
& maths.<br />
About the course<br />
You will develop your knowledge and skills with<br />
topics including double-entry bookkeeping,<br />
preparation of final accounts for the sole trader and<br />
partnership, costings, professional ethics, indirect<br />
tax and spreadsheets. You could progress straight in<br />
to job roles such as a Trainee Accounting Technician<br />
or Assistant Accountant. Alternatively, you can move<br />
on to further study in a subject related to accounting,<br />
such as an AAT Professional Diploma in Accountancy.<br />
Your future<br />
You can go on to study a course at college or<br />
university, such as the Professional Accounting<br />
Technician Higher Apprenticeship Level 4.<br />
Alternatively, you can use the skills and experience<br />
you have gained to progress further in your career.<br />

Course length: Up to 18 months | Code: 3095<br />
Entry requirements<br />

include 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above (plus a<br />
grade 3 (D) or above in English and maths).<br />
• You must pass an initial assessment in English<br />

About the course<br />
As a Business Administrator, you will develop a<br />
highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and<br />
behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This<br />
includes small and large businesses alike; from the<br />
public, private and charitable sectors. You could be<br />
working independently or as part of a team and<br />
may be developing, implementing, maintaining<br />
and improving administrative services. This will<br />
support your progression towards management<br />
responsibilities. As part of this apprenticeship, you<br />
will need to pass an End Point Assessment at the<br />
end of your apprenticeship to show that you are<br />
competent in your role.<br />
Your future<br />
After completing this apprenticeship, you could<br />
progress on to a Team Leader Level 3 Apprenticeship<br />
or study a course at college or university. You could<br />
also develop your professional skills further with one<br />
of our part-<strong>time</strong> courses.<br />
