Festive volunteers
Volunteers will take partinthe annual
Hyundai MidCanterbury Parade on Saturday
and wear oneofthe many costumes available
but more are always sought.
Organiser Carol Johns says volunteers
dressed as clowns and other festive or famous
characters would hand out chips, lollies or
balloons to children, or be part of the
festivities waving to thosealong the route.
It helps to make the parade morefestive to
the manychildren and adults who come
along to watchthe parade and take part in the
annual event.
If anyoneelse wants to dressup in one of
around 50 costumes available, they can
contactMrs Johns via the Hyundai Mid
Canterbury Ashburton SantaParade page or
email at johns.mmmm@xtra.co.nz
