The city walking tours of 2006 were great reminders of
seaonal changes. In the cold of early spring, members set
off on a river tour to rediscover the sparkle along Tokyo’s
Nihonbashi and Kanda Rivers. Next, with hydrangeas in
full bloom, members experienced the illumination of these
flowers covering the Hakone hills from the comfort of a
dim train car. In the fall, the detectives had plans to stroll
through Japanese gardens by the light of a full harvest
moon, but a howling storm led us indoors to experience
the beauty of Japanese light inside traditional Japanese
architecture.

This year, City Walking Tours, urban lighting surveys,
Candle Night events, and various lighting topics were
reported and discussed around the round table. In
conjunction with Lighting manufacturers, ERCO TOTO
and Daiko Electric the salon was held at their showrooms.
