We’re back to Level 1, just as it should<br />

be! And we kept those Codes to the letter,<br />

well done everyone!<br />

The Harry Lee Drawn Teams, sponsored<br />

by Pearsons Coachlines, was held<br />

on the 4th with arelatively full house. It<br />

turned out to be abeautiful day and was<br />

most enjoyable! The results are: 1st –John<br />

Kewish, Heather Gray, Wendy Herriott;<br />

2nd –Graham Taylor, Alison Gibbs, Bob<br />

Wilson; 3rd –Winston Lee, Annette Blain,<br />

weektoshare tips, advice<br />

and their enthusiasm for the<br />

small attendance this week. The Harry Lee<br />

and Friday Triples on Thursday and<br />

Friday, may have contributed to that -<br />

Triples, sponsored by the <strong>Ashburton</strong> Trust<br />

and held on the 8th <strong>March</strong>,will be recorded<br />

in next week’s Report. We had 2 full<br />

greens for this event!<br />

Our Inhouse Glassey 3 bowl mixed<br />

pairs, scheduled for the 17th February, will<br />

now be played (at <strong>Ashburton</strong>) on Wednesday<br />

10th <strong>March</strong>, starting at 12.30 pm.<br />

the startofthe Patterson group<br />

with two <strong>Ashburton</strong> teams. The<br />

old men smashed theyoung pups<br />

twicelastyear, so rightly carry<br />

the<strong>Ashburton</strong> 1moniker.<br />

After holding pre­season trials,<br />

averystrong team hasbeen<br />

selected by CaptainChaos and a<br />

big year is expected. Young Tom<br />

was recently seen raking through<br />

the rubbish skips trying to pull an<br />

<strong>Ashburton</strong> 2team together. I<br />

think theboard mayneedtokeep<br />

an eyeonthem andmaybe re<br />

name them as Mayfield 2or<br />

something, just athought, as we<br />

don’t wantthem dragging our<br />

name through themud.<br />

kick offinafew weeks time.It’s<br />

always greatfun playing<br />

different coursesagainst some<br />

greatcharactersfromthe<br />

Aorangi district. If anyone<br />

front. We hadavisitfromMrNZ<br />

Golf,PhilAickin on Monday to<br />

look over our facilities and<br />

course. We got some great feed<br />

back and information on what to<br />

expect and things to do.Itwas a<br />

reallygoodmeeting, and Iwill be<br />

calling avolunteers meeting<br />

shortly to relay it back to<br />

everyone interested. Watch this<br />
