she provides inhomesupport and<br />
advice on issues suchashousing,<br />
health and rural challenges.<br />
Malu, who has Samoanheritage,<br />
works with families to create aplan<br />
to access servicesand establish<br />
connections.<br />
She says education is the key to<br />
her work.<br />
‘‘There are alot of services on<br />
offer to Pacific people if they know<br />
about them and are preparedtogo<br />
along.’’<br />
Somewere hesitant to visit a<br />
doctor because they didn’t wantto<br />
be aburden, and cost and language<br />
were otherbarriers thataffected<br />
some decisions,she said.<br />
‘‘Health is everything,’’ she says.<br />

“The <strong>Ashburton</strong>street sprint is an<br />
honour to be partofand one of the<br />
most highly sought after to get aspot<br />
in. Out of all the street sprints we go<br />
to it is one of the better courses to<br />
race on with wide streets and long<br />
straightsand very well run by the<br />
<strong>Ashburton</strong> Car Club, they do agreat<br />
job,” he said.<br />
He has lots of good memories<br />
duringhis timeracing with family<br />
and friends including Josh’s win of<br />
the Waimate 50 in 2019.<br />

himself winning the Pre65<br />
