As an IBS Alumni, I have learnt a lot throughout
my 2 years of the management course. Its
diverse culture helped me learn diverse culture,
values and goals. It encourages self-motivated,
independent thinkers and learners striving for their
personal goal. IBS has always been a backbone
for students’ success and competition. IBS has
good bonds with several industry where it seeks
input from all the sectors and helps students in
their placements. The institute maintains high
standard of integrity and performance leading to
achievement of academic and career goals.
IBS prepares students for lifelong learning where
we learned about KSA (Knowledge, Skills and
Attitude) and technology advancement through
our mentors and talented professors. Studentteacher
relationship is lot beyond just classroom
at IBS. It is known for invigorating mix of
practical and updated case studies, lectures
and structured assignment, followed by
presentations, business ideas, Interview and
mock group discussions, making us industry
ready. IBS helps students expand their horizon
and understand management level to its best.
Also, it is a perfect place for students who do
not want to miss upon cultural events as well
as a desired job, one is looking for. There are
more than 20 clubs and several events, sport
activities, driven the students under a careful
guidance of the professors at IBS. Along with
these activities our placement cell works hard
to develop a hero within us and prepare us
for the corporate world. Regular preparation
interviews and mock group discussions were
practiced and recorded to get a familiar idea
on where one is going wrong. I’m grateful to
IBS Bangalore for fostering me who I am today.
IBS was my first step to explore outside world and it truly
fulfilled the expectation I had in mind. I got an opportunity
to work with great minds and learned from best industry
professionals. Made great friends which are still just a
call away and always ready to help out. Professors were
encouraging and institute provided great platform to host
cultural festivals as well as participate in intra college
festivals which helped me to face the corporate world. I
came to IBS with a goal of joining financial industry and
IBS helped in providing right direction to my goal. The
continuous encouragement from faculties and structured
course outline helped me achieve my goal by getting placed
on very first day of campus placement. I got a chance to
start my journey with Crisil and explored avenues which
took me to the USA and helped me settle down here.
Currently I am part of Futures Trading technology team of
Goldman Sachs and work in their New York office. I am a
proud alumnus of IBS and cherish the learning and the good
memories I created during my college days there.
