Technology/Engineering/Mathematics links: • viewing images on Instagram posts • using the internet to research a website • using an application on a computer tablet to compile a report • writing a plan for a digital report Background information • Some animals grow and change just as humans do. Mammals are born live and change in size, but closely resemble their parents. • Other animals, such as insects and frogs, go through a complete metamorphosis. Assessment focus: • Use page 17 or the digital report as a formative assessment of the student’s understanding that some offspring go through simple changes in their life and look similar to their parents from birth, young and adult.
